Conditioning Your Mind For Success

To make a significant change in your life and achieve whatever goals you set for yourself you must condition your mind for success.

The journey of success (and it is a journey) will be full excitement, achievement, happiness and satisfaction.

But

The journey of success will also be full of pitfalls, obstacles, failures and challenges. And if you aren’t able to handle the failures, you’ll never reap the reward of the achievements.

Learning how to handle failures, setbacks and challenges starts with how you approach everything in your life, ESPECIALLY THE LITTLE THINGS.

Conditioning your mind for success means establishing new habits, and habits are formed with the little things you do every day.

Let me explain with a quick example

Imagine you’ve entered into a marathon 3 months down the track, but each day you don’t train, you don’t run and you don’t work on your fitness, technique or psychology.

By the time the big day comes you won’t have the required physical or mental conditioning to win the race. Heck, you probably won’t even finish!

But if you trained every day If you improved your performance every day… If you planned how you were going to become your very best for the big day How do you think you’d go?

Probably a whole lot better. In fact, you might even win the race!

Achieving success in your own personal, professional or business life is the same. If you don’t work on your mindset, your focus and your ability to keep positive every day, you won’t be able to handle the difficult times when they come

AND THEY WILL COME!

It’s easy to be focused, positive and keep moving forward when things are going to plan. The key is to be able to do the same when things are NOT going to plan.

To be able to do this requires doing certain things every single day to to condition your mind for success.

But before I share some proven techniques you can start using immediately it’s important to understand that everything comes down to building positive habits (habits which improve your life) and getting rid of negative habits (habits which hold you back from achieving your goals).

Generally, it takes 21 days to build a new habit. And although I will be giving you 5 techniques you can utilize on a daily basis to condition your mind for success, make it easy to succeed by practicing one thing at a time for 21 days, until it becomes a habit and then moving on to something else. The wonderful thing about building a habit is that you only need to do it once, and the habit will continue for life (or until you change it).

In any case, here are 5 things you can do on a daily basis to condition your mind for success:

1. WRITE OUT YOUR GOALS EVERY MORNING

By writing out goals for each part of your life as soon as you awake, you focus your mind on what you want to achieve. Your mind will be looking for ways throughout the day to move you closer to your goals with the least possible effort.

2. FOCUS ON WHAT YOU WANT

The key to your success is defining what you want (ie. writing your goals) and then focusing on the achievement of those goals. Focusing on what you want means thinking about what you want all the time, and refusing to entertain thoughts of doubt or fear.

3. ASK YOURSELF BETTER QUESTIONS

Every thought we have is a result of a question we ask ourselves. If something negative happens in our lives we automatically ask ourselves ‘why me?’ or ‘why does this have to happen?’. By asking yourself a question you give your mind license to think of anything that answers that question. The problem lies in that your mind can choose to think of positive answers or negative answers (thinking negatively is usually much easier for most people and is how most people are conditioned).

A much better approach is to take better care with the questions you ask yourself, and ask questions where there can only be a positive answer. So that instead of asking ‘why me’, you can ask yourself ‘what can I learn from this?’ or ‘what is positive about this?’. It won’t be easy in the beginning, but with practice it will become easy.

4. SURROUND YOURSELF WITH POSITIVE, LIKE-MINDED PEOPLE

The quality of the people in your life will determine the quality of your life. If your friends are successful, positive people then you will be too. But if your friends are negative, doubtful people who constantly live in fear then you will become that too. By only allowing the most positive people in your life you give yourself every opportunity to succeed.

5. USE A TO-DO LIST

You should write down everything you want to achieve every day, prioritize it in order of most important to least important and focus only on completing the top task until it is complete, then the next task and so on. If something pops up during the day, insert it on the to-do list where you think it ranks in terms of importance, but don’t get distracted from completing the most important thing. You will be surprised at how fast your life moves forward by doing this every day. Click here to learn a simple method for prioritization your to-do list every day.

These are just some things you can do to condition your mind for success. There are many more which I will share in the future.

And remember, choose one thing to practice for 21 days, and once it becomes a habit, start on the next thing and so on.

There are 365 days in a year. If you take just one step every day you will achieve massive results in no time at all.

The Power of Thought

It is time to teach you a bit about the greatest power a human possesses: that is the power of thought. You think your own reality!

When you think about something, thought waves escape from your brain. These waves are similar to those of a transmitter and these waves travel through space and cause a reaction on the universe.

Scientists have already begun to experiment with the power of thought, I read on another web site that an experiment with crystals was made, and it was proven that human thought affected the growth of those crystals.

You must know that just as we have a mind, the entire Universe also has one. The human mind and the cosmic mind exist. The earth is condensed mind. The entire Universe is condensed mind. The waves of the universal mind saturate the infinite space. The very fabric of existence is thought.

The first thing that an architect who designs a house does is to create the project in thought, then he/she projects it on paper as a drawing, lastly the house crystallizes. Thus, everything, every building first existed in the mind. Nothing can exist in the physical or material world in which we live without first having existed in the world of the mind.

It is becoming necessary to for all people to learn how to concentrate and project thoughts with precision. To learn to concentrate, that is to fix your attention on a single thing. When you fix your attention on a task, when you concentrate on that task, you can be certain that your brain emits powerful thought waves that will effect the very substance of the universe.

It is important for you to truly concentrate. To shut out other thoughts that are capable of distracting you. You should learn how to concentrate your mind. You believe that you want to succeed in life and have health, money and love. Most people do. Reflect a little, learn how to handle the force of thought. When you learn how to handle the power of thought you can then proceed to success with certainty. Just as the arrow guided by the hand of the expert archer reaches its target.

Remember that the world is a product of thought. You are what you are because of the thoughts you have had. You can totally change yourself by making use of the power of thought. Each person projects into the world of the cosmic mind what he/she is and what he or she wants to be. The projection of the mind crystallizes the physical and then we have a life that is rich or miserable, happy or wretched. Everything depends on the type of mental projections that we have crystallized.

If the thoughts have been done with sufficient concentration, followed up with actions, the result will be success. Try it today, think of only one thing that you desire, let no other thoughts interfere, and you will see your thoughts turned into reality.

Mind Power Through Mindfulness

Basic mindfulness exercises put you in a state of awareness where distractions are let go, and your mind power is able to function more effectively. They help you think more clearly and concentrate better. They are also easy exercises to do.

More Mind Power in Minutes

A basic mindfulness exercise starts with sitting down, relaxing and breathing deeply through your nose. Close your eyes and be aware of your breath going in and out. After a minute, move your attention to your body, one part at a time, noting sensations of cold, hot, tight, sore and anything else you identify. In a few minutes, start listening to sounds in the room, without thinking about them. Just listen.

When it feels right, open your eyes and look around as if you are seeing for the first time. Rest your eyes on an object for half a minute, examining it without talking about it in your mind. Then move to another object, and another, while still maintaining an awareness of your body, your breathing, and any sounds. Stay in this state of mindfulness until you are ready to get up.

Being aware of your body, breath and immediate enviroment, puts you more fully “in the moment.” Your mind is in a very receptive state, with fewer mental distractions that prevent clear thinking. Doing a mindfulness exercise before important mental tasks will give you greater mind power, specifically more focus and concentration.

An Even Easier Mindfulness Trick

Try this one today: When you feel stressed, stop, and carefully watch yourself to identify what’s bothering you. Maybe you’re expecting something bad to happen, or an argument is going on just below the surface of your consciousness, or you’re worried about something, or in pain in some way. Make a note of everything you find.

Then deal with these mind-irritants. Make a phone call that’s on your mind, take an aspirin, apologise to whomever you were fighting with. Write things on tomorrow’s list, to get them off your mind. If there’s nothing you can do right now, tell yourself that. Do this exercise, and you’ll feel less stressed, and more able to concentrate on the tasks at hand. You’ll have more mind power today.
